Location: The event will take place on the exquisitely skateable Gilles-Villeneuve Formula-1 racetrack in Parc Jean-Drapeau on Notre-Dame Island (park map, site map 2010 (PDF files)).

Duration: From 2 pm Sunday, September 4, to 2 pm Monday, September 5 2011. Each lap skated by every team will be counted electronically using a chip-timing system.

How the event unfolds

On the morning of Sunday, September 4, between 9 and 11 am, your team captain must appear at the registration tent located in the 24h village. Your captain will then give us a copy of a photo ID of all members of your team and the team registration form already filled and signed by each team member. It is essential that each member is registered on the form with his/her signature at the end of the waiver.

In order for you to fill this form prior to the event, the captain needs to download the Word version. Several weeks before the event, capitains are welcome to send us by email this form completed so we can assign the location of your team and file the required information on your known teamates. On race-day morning, we will collect the final registration paper form signed by ALL teamates. Only skaters who have signed the waiver will be allowed to participate.

When you hand in your completed and duly signed team form and the minimium pledge requested achieved, you will receive the kit containing everything needed for your team's participation in the race (bibs, timing chips, bracelets, etc). Your team will be assigned a numbered space near or in the paddocks. Since the start is at 2 pm, you will have plenty of free time in which to settle in, meet other skaters, and get ready for the race.

Results announcement

Team results will be announced regularly to help you keep track of your team's progress.

Within 30 minutes after the end of the race, provisional results of the race will be posted. Team captains will then have 15 minutes to contest the results, after which results will be official. On Monday at 3 pm, trophys will be awarded to the winning teams (1st, 2nd, 3rd). Medals will be awarded to the winners of the duos, solo female and solo male categories.

Over the following days complete and detailed results will be posted in the following section. We encourage you to send us your feedbacks and tales of your 24hrs that we will publish on this web site.
